10 Most Powerful Antivirus for Android

Tests on 41 antivirus applications on the Android platform shows only 23 applications effectively stymie the threat of viruses or malicious software (malware).

"Some parts of the report and the methodology of the tests we deemed inappropriate or disabled by the developer," said Andreas Marx, AV-Test leader, one examining body independent information technology security in Germany.

Tests conducted AV-Test focuses on the application's ability to withstand network malware attacks than per unit.

In a report published March 15, AV-Test calls its 10 best antivirus provider that is able to detect over 90 percent of malware on the Android platform.

The ten companies that are Avast, Dr. Web, F-Secure, Ikarus, Kaspersky, Lookout, McAfee, MYAndroid (MyMobile Security), NQ Mobile / NetQin, and Zoner.

The remaining 13 products were able to detect 65 to 90 percent of malware is AegisLab, Mobilation AVG, Bitdefender, BullGuard, Comodo, ESET, Norton / Symantec, QuickHeal, Super Security, Total Defense, Trend Micro, Vipre / GFI, and Webroot.

"Those products (13 products above) also has the potential to be the best product. They simply failed to detect one or two networks of malware that may not be prevented in certain circumstances," wrote AV-Test in its report.
